Tribal DDB, Amsterdam

45 Cyclists, 70 Bicycles

Who, what, where?

Tribal DDB Amsterdam is a digital marketing agency with a strong reputation for strategic thinking and excellent creative work. We have 75 staff, almost all cycle. More than half cycle to work on a daily basis, most of the rest take public transport, or drive if they live in other cities in the Netherlands. Most have “standard” Dutch city bikes. A few have heavy old-fashioned “omafietsen”, “grandmother bikes”, with foot brakes and no gears. One or two have more expensive “designer” bikes, and a few keen hobby cyclists have racing cycles that they take out after work in the countryside around Amsterdam. All own at least one “standard” street bike which is their usual mode of transport for everything, in all conditions! A lot of people own more than one bike, in case their main one breaks down, or they have guests to stay, but they usually tend to stick to their favourite trusty steed.
