What’s your typical Commuting Experience?
Madrid is not exactly the most “bike-friendly” city. However, each day more and more bikers are hitting the streets and helping change that idea. When we aren’t out fighting our way through the streets, we enjoy the occasional weekend ride with a few beers to wrap things up. Recently 5 cocteleros headed out on a two-day 200km journey from Alcala de Henares to Toledo, later finishing in Madrid to help raise money for educational development in northern Uganda through a project called Bikes 4 Books. Bikes 4 Books is an initiative started by our own Ben Derico, an American expat working in The Cocktail’s video department.
