What’s your typical Commuting Experience?
Our biggest gripe is the lack of cycling infrastructure and the general attitude towards cycling in this country. Ignoramuses look down on your choice to cycle as akin to suicide, a sign of being 'financially challenged' and just plain bizarre. The infrastructure is coming slowly, and the percentage of commuters who are cyclists grows too. Hopefully it is only a matter of time before our nation wakes up to the inevitable, cycling is an easy clean fast way to get around and unlike oil, it is here to stay.
Most staff commute door to door, but in the evenings some staff will meet and do a social 'bike gang' ride which culminates with pizza in the park. Others ride through and around the central city on their breaks for recreation and an excuse to leave the studio.
